Leah Prestogeorge
Biography
Leah Prestogeorge is a New York City-based performer originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Starting dance at the age of three, musical theatre classes at age six, and voice lessons at age seven, Leah has always felt at home on the stage.
Professionally, Leah has performed in Off-Off Broadway with The Gallery Players (Something Rotten) and regionally at Front Porch Theatricals (Bandstand, Grand Hotel), Mountain Playhouse (A Year with Frog and Toad), Saint Vincent Summer Theatre (Showstoppers, Songs of the Season), and South Park Theatre (Why Do Fools Fall in Love). In addition, she held a singer/dancer contract with RWS Global at Waldameer and Waterworld (Erie, PA) and has performed in various cabarets in New York City at Feinstein's/54 Below and Sid Gold's Request Room.
Leah has been given the opportunity to perform her covered roles in two productions, one of which being an emergency cover. In Grand Hotel, she understudied the role of the Countess/Bolero Dancer and performed 4 out of the 7 shows. While hired for Bandstand as the associate choreographer, at half-hour call for final dress rehearsal, she was asked to swing into an ensemble track for the entire opening weekend and became the official ensemble swing for the run of the production.

Leah received her BFA in Musical Theatre with a minor in Entrepreneurial Studies from Seton Hill University in 2020. Throughout her time at Seton Hill, Leah performed in and worked on many mainstage productions, as well as student works, in both the theatre and dance departments. While in college, she co-choreographed a production of Anton Chekov's The Seagull (d. Robyne Parrish) and interned/assisted for Big Fish (Front Porch, c. Mara Greer). Some of her favorite roles at SHU include Janet Van De Graff in The Drowsy Chaperone, Jenny in Company, Julia Melville in The Rivals, and the "Bless the Lord" soloist in Godspell.

In life, Leah is very passionate about supporting students in the arts. While at SHU, she was a theatre teacher in the Seton Arts program, a program designed to bring the arts to underprivileged communities. Her senior honors capstone project, "Combating Audition Anxiety through Preparation and Experience", was a masterclass series used for the high schoolers at her alma mater, Woodland Hills High School, to help them prepare for upcoming musical auditions. Whenever she can, Leah continues to be a part of her high school’s vast alumni community and the Performing Arts Guild. Most recently, she choreographed the 2024 alumni fundraiser production of The Rocky Horror Show and performed as the role of Columbia.

When not on-stage or behind the scenes, you can find Leah celebrating her Greek heritage by dancing with her folk dance group, the Grecian Odyssey Dancers of Ypapanti, in the Pennsylvania tri-state area. Since the age of seven, this group has been like family (and in fact, that is her actual brother AJ on top of the table).
